Nicki Minaj celebrated her 33rd birthday at a Monica concert 

Rapper and superstar Nicki Minaj turned 33 this Tuesday. She celebrated with a girl’s night out, which started at a Monica concert in Philadelphia, Meek Mill’s hometown.

It was a double celebration for the rapper as she found out this week that she was among those nominated for the Grammy Awards 2016. However the good news is kind of shadowed by a sordid scandal as Nicki’s older brother Jelani was arrested and charged with the rape of a 12 year old girl.
Nicki Minaj definitely had to stay away from the drama and clear her head so she flew out to Philly, her boyfriend’s Meek Mill hometown to celebrate her birthday. The “All Eyes On Me” singer and some of her closest friends headed to a venue to catch a live performance from r&b legend Monica as part of her Code Red Tour.
In a few pictures and videos posted to Instagram, Nicki is seen singing every words to Monica’s old school song being really cute and even emotional at some point. Minaj even captioned on her post “Your concert made my birthday”. The diva also flaunted Meek Mill‘s gift to her in two pictures : a really big diamond ring !
